After School Childcare

Do you struggle to find After School Childcare that suits the needs of you and your children?

I have run the Out Of School Childcare provision at Wedmore First School Academy for the last 12 years. Children from Hugh Sexey have always attended either collected from school by us or arriving on their school buses.

The number of children coming to us has increased over the last couple of years and so we would now like to investigate if there is a need for a separate After School Club run at Hugh Sexey.

Initial thoughts are that it would open from the end of school until 5.30pm each school day. We would provide the children with age appropriate informal indoor and outdoor activities including use of the school ICT room. Appropriate staff would care for the children and implement and supervise all activities. The cost would be around £7.50 per day and would include refreshments at the start of the afternoon.

We would like to hear from you if you think an After School Provision at Hugh Sexeys is something you would use for your children. In addition we would be interested in any ideas you have about what should be provided at an After School Club for children of this age.
