Hugh Sexey 7A and 7B versus Wells Blue

A
The girls have been training together all term and represented their year group with great skill. Captained by Mary Flanagan ,the girls showed good stick control and supported each other well. Daisy Becker- Hughes was nominated player of the match by the opposition and Amy Carter was Captain's player showing great tenacity in the goal circle.
The final score was 5-0 to Hugh Sexey.
B
The B team played a determined match . Captained by Evie Catley -Day , they played with enthusiasm and energy. The girls showed a good team awareness in the attacking half and Freya Stephens made some great push passes into the goal circle. Esther Mitchell, who normally opts to play defence scored in the second half .
The final score was 6-0 to Hugh Sexey
Hockey club for key stage three girls has been well attended this year with 50 children from both years . I would like to express my thanks to the girls who continued to train even though they didn't make the team. A great squad effort.
