Mendip Netball Tournaments Years 7 & 8
Mendip tournaments year seven and year eight.
The girls travelled to Wells Blue to play in the Mendip tournament. Year seven played on Tuesday 15th March and year eight on Wednesday 16th March.
Year Seven
Ten of our year seven girls represented the school in an exciting tournament. The girls faced teams from Fairlands, Wells Blue , Selwood and Oakfield. All the teams played with skill and a very happy, positive approach. Our team played well and there was some very accurate shooting from Alice. I was very grateful to three keen students who organised their own transport from the year seven humanities trip in order to represent the school: Poppy, Amelie and Sophie.
In the end Well Blue won and our girls finished fourth.

Year Eight
Nine of the pupils represented the school. On this occasion they played teams from Fairlands, Oakfield, Wells Blue, Crispin and St.Dunstans.
I was very proud of the standard of play that our girls displayed. The girls won all their matches except for a draw against Wells Blue. Kat , Rachel and Maya shot with accuracy. The defence by Maisie and Lana proved very difficult to penetrate. Jess,Tilly Mia and Kyle showed agility in centre court.
The draw against Wells Blue was very exciting. We managed to score in the last minute.
Frustratingly for the girls , the end result of the tournament came down to goal difference 33-27 in favour of Wells Blue.
Both tournaments were played in good spirits and were enjoyed by all participants.
