U11 Cricket Wylie Shield final.

The boys were due to play this final, against Minehead Middle School, last term, but due to the bad weather it was postponed. We managed to agree to the final match being played on Wednesday, 13th September.

Unfortunately the weather was poor again- wet and windy.  It was decided that the game should be played indoors instead.

Hugh Sexey's boys were a little disappointed as they were looking forward to playing hardball outside.  However all credit to them, they kept their spirits up and chose to field first. From that moment onwards they bowled superbly, hitting over 15 wickets!  Minehead didn't know what had hit them; everyone was on superb form both in bowling and batting.

It was a really enjoyable afternoon of cricket, and it was a pleasure to umpire the boys from both schools.

Well done lads
