Year 7 Girls' Hockey- A team versus Fairlands
Match report
I watched this Match in the second half. For many of these players it was their first experience at playing at this level and for the school team.
A very energetic game - three of the goals scored for Hugh Sexey happened in the first half. The captain Ella Hodgson who is playing at club level, was everywhere showing great stick work( not easy on grass) and great tenacity was shown by Rhiannon Kelly. Fairlands also played well and the ball moved swiftly from one end of the pitch to the other.
Isobel Clark is very difficult to get past in defence and prevented any goals from the opposition.
A final goal in the second half meant that the final score was
4-0 to Hugh Sexey. Player of the match Ella Hodgson.
