Brothers swim in county championships

Both Finley (7RH) and Charlie (6MJ) swam at the county swimming championships at Millfield School on Sunday 27th Jan where they had both qualified for the 50m breaststroke.

It was Charlie’s first time at the county champs (in the 50m Millfield pool) and he swam in the first heat. He swam brilliantly, winning his heat and taking 3 seconds off his personal best time which qualified him for the final. In the final he swam another pb of 44.8 sec finishing 4th in a close race where 2nd, 3rd and 4th all finished in 44 seconds. His time was good enough to get Charlie a regional championships consideration time.

Finley swam a great, but tough, heat from lane 8 in a very competitive age group. He finished 10th in his age group so did not make the final but beat his personal best by 2 secs and also gained a regional champs consideration time.

The regional champs will also be held at Millfield School in May.
