House Gymnastics. Friday 14th December.
The gymnastics club have been training hard for this competition throughout the term.
The girls had been given a short sequence of floor skills which included a cartwheel, backward roll and shoulder stand.
The girls arrived very punctually and warmed up. They were understandably nervous as for many this was their first experience of competitive gymnastics. A small cohort of pupils were competing with a different sequence as they are club gymnasts.
With the help of Miss Lacey , the gymnasts bravely performed their sequence on their own.
I was quite nervous for them!
Each pupil received 5 house points for taking part and there were medals for the winners.
I was very proud of every pupil as they have worked very hard and their skills have greatly improved. Gemma' s backward roll has been a work in progress all term and today she performed with ease.
