PSHE

I hope that you are all keeping well and strong at this time. PSHE deals with our pastoral needs and our health. Both of these are so important at the moment whilst the Government has asked us to refrain from socialising and meeting up with friends and family. There are many resources which help us with our mental wellbeing  and activities which keep us positive and well.

Over the coming weeks ( as long as the school remains closed for the majority of our pupils ) I will share resources and articles which discuss our mental wellbeing. Please email kate.allen@hughsexey.org.ukif you wish to share your thoughts or discuss.

A good place to start

Human Rights -

Prior to the school closing the year eights were looking at the topic of human rights in education, health  and childhood.  The next two weeks were to be a project based on the same theme. Choose one of the tasks outlined below. Complete in your directed learning  books. Alternatively, send me your own ideas via email.

1.  Complete a project which describes the theme human rights for children. There will be a YouTube animation on this topic to help your project.

2.   Choose a country in which you are interested. Prepare a speech which outlines the lack of one of the human rights In this country which  has been discussed in class: childhood, education or health.

3.  One of the human rights discussed in class was the right to play.  Write down or film a family favourite game that you enjoyed as a child. What life skills  does play teach us?
