TASK 1: REGARDEZ 

Watch the video to find out how to say what is NOT in your house or room. 

You need some paper and 2 pens.

TASK 2: REGARDEZ

What is there in the fridge?

a) Watch the video, and make a list of all the items which are NOT in the fridge. 

b) What IS in the fridge?

TASK 3: ÉCOUTEZ 

a) Copy the grid below onto a piece of paper (not on the computer, just a quick grid on paper to fill in as you listen!)

b) Listen to each recording.

In your grid, tick the items which ARE in the room and cross the items which ARE NOT.

TASK 4: ÉCRIVEZ 

Change these sentences from il y a to il n'y a pas de.

e.g:

 Il y a un bureau. > Il n'y a pas de bureau.

     There is a desk       >     There is no desk.

To extend your sentences, you could look up an adverb to put in front of each of your answers, such as 'unfortunately', 'luckily' or 'strangely'.
