Book Fair Bonanza.

We were all excited at Hugh Sexey Middle School to receive the Book Fair this week.  Four cases arrived with an excellent selection of titles including fiction, non-fiction and journals...some even had Lego attached!  Pupils were able to peruse the Fair during their timetabled library sessions as well as at break and lunchtimes.  The library was a hive of activity throughout the week with pupils choosing books for themselves and also as Christmas presents for younger siblings.  One of the most popular purchases was a Hidden Gems book, where you could learn about geology and even dig for your own gems!  Mrs Dourley, our school librarian, said, "This was one of our most successful Book Fairs yet.  We sold a wonderful £1563.85 of titles which means lots of new and relevant books for the library in the future through the rewards system with Scholastic.  Well done and a huge thank you to all the pupils and parents who supported us this week."
