Finally, a Fixture! Girls' Hockey- HSMS vs Fairlands

Hockey Fixture versus Fairlands Middle School @Kings Leisure Centre.

November 16th Years 6,7 and 8 girls .

The girls enjoyed their first match for over two years . They travelled to Kings of Wessex Astro and matches were umpired by leaders from Kings of Wessex.

Year 6 Mrs.Callow / Miss Parfitt

A very exciting match . Libby was captain and had organised her team most effectively. There were some exciting moments of play with every player giving their best. The final score was 2-1 to Hugh Sexey.

Year 7 Mrs Allen

I watched this match with baited breath. It was very even, with the play flowing from one end of the pitch to the other. Captain Tilly, was encouraging and showed her expertise with her stick . Honey played well in her debut as GK

At the very last minute Fairlands scored a goal, making the final score 1-0 to Fairlands.

Year 8 Mrs Allen

The older girls played a longer match. The team have worked very hard together in training and despite missing one of the players due to injury , they fought well against strong opposition. Isla showed great potential as GK and Orla was voted player of the match by Fairlands. Daisy was strong in defence and Freya tenacious in midfield.

The final score was 5-1 to Fairlands.

Thank you to Mrs. C Walker for organising the matches . It was a great experience for the girls to compete under floodlights on such an immaculate pitch.
