First Schools' Gymnastics Festival

It was very nice to welcome our first school pupils and their families to an evening of gymnastics. 

Each school brought ten interested pupils and the aim of the evening  was to give these children an opportunity to experience gymnastics at Hugh Sexey. 

The year eight sports leaders were chosen because of their own interest in this sport . Special mention to two year seven girls,Mia and Lily who also helped with last night’s event. 

The pupils experienced partner balances, rope climbing, vaulting and tumbling routines. We were treated to a short display from one year eight pupil, Mimi , who is currently training at a high level in the sport.

The year three and four pupils all enjoyed the experience and it was encouraging to see the level of enthusiasm and energy they had.
