Girls' Football: HSMS vs Hayesfield.

The Under 12s girls football team put in a spirited performance against a very technically accomplished Hayesfield side. The Bath based team were strong in all areas, and had multiple threats throughout the team. They started brightly and scored an early goal after sustained pressure. The Hugh Sexey team didn't let their heads drop and equalised after Isabelle burrowed the ball home after the keeper made a good save from Amisha. After that it was all Hayesfield for 20 minutes with Hugh Sexey finding it very difficult to stop Hayesfield's strong attack. They scored a number of goals in quick succession with their attacking midfielder prominent throughout. At half time the team regrouped and planned to go out with a more positive mindset. This had a real impact with the team showing much more urgency. Amisha scored a great goal and we continued to press for more. In the end Hayesfield emerged deserved winners and showed why they are doing so well in the National Cup as well as the Somerset one. Good luck in the next round
