Year 6 Sports Day

It was touch and go whether this event would go ahead. The forecast was bleak. But to everyone's delight, the rain stayed away. 

Field events got underway and immediately a longstanding high jump record was broken when Kitty from the Celts jumped an impressive 1m 25 breaking the previous record of Helen Taylor from 2002 who jumped 1m20.  The boys' event was won by Jayden from the Saxons. 

Elsewhere on the field , there was a fierce tug of war competition witnessed by a very encouraging group of parents and carers.

Taylor from the Saxons and Aurelia from the Vikings both performed well in the Long Jump. 

On the track there were good performances from Chloe who ran a fantastic 800m alongside Louis from the Saxons. 

Another school record was broken by Charlie from the Vikings in the 400m who beat Charlie Halford's record from 2019 at at time of 1;115 45 . 

There was some inspiring performances from Fin and Mia who worked hard.
