  • LOST PROPERTY

    Tue 25 Nov 2014

Lost property may be found via Reception.  There is a hanging rail with all un-named items accrued this half term so far.  Please encourage your child to look for items they have mislaid. There are shoes, trainers, coats, jumpers ..........  By naming your child's property, it makes it much easier for these items to be reunited.  Tutors will also be reminding pupils during registration on a weekly basis.

Working together we hope to reduce the amount of unclaimed lost property being sent to charity.

  • PCSOs deliver community safety message

Wed 05 Nov 2014 Mr Broad

Our neighbourhood team have been out and about providing reassurance and support in the community following three reports of suspicious incidents involving a vehicle approaching young females in the area.

PCSOs have been visiting local schools delivering advice to students on how to remain safe. They have also visited YMCAs, and other community groups.

Sergeant Elaine Linham said: “It’s important that these incidents are reported directly to us so we can investigate the facts. We ask everyone to be considerate when sharing unconfirmed reports on Facebook as rumours can quickly escalate.”

We are continuing to investigate the reports and would reassure the public that are following up all leads.

As a precaution it always good practice to ensure young people stick to the following information:

    ·         Always tell your parent/carer where you are going and make regular contact with them while you are out

    ·         If you are running late – let someone know

    ·         Agree safety spots - places you can go to if you feel unsafe.  Identify trusted neighbours, police stations, or shops that you can go to alert a responsible adult.

    ·         Don’t separate from your friends

    ·         Never go with a stranger, accept gifts, or get in their car

    ·         Never give directions to strangers or lean into their car

    ·         Stick to well-lit areas and trust your feelings

    ·         Don’t take risks – if you feel uncomfortable go straight home, or report the incident to someone you trust – a police officer, a teacher or someone you know well

    ·         Ensure you know the correct numbers to call 101 to report incidents or 999 in an emergency

If you have any information about these incidents please report directly to us by dialling 101.
