Thu 26 Sep 2019 Mr Jackson

This week's race was challenging, not by it's distance, but instead owing to the hilly course at Millfield Prep School.

The Year 8 Boys came first, third and fourth for Finley, Ellis and Nathan respectively.

There were also top five finishes for Jemima, Emmie, Hannah and Charlie and top ten for Olivia and Lewis.

The third and final race and medal ceremony will be on Tuesday 8th October.

  • Fin raises over £8000 for Musgrove

Tue 10 Sep 2019 Mr McGrath
Hugh Sexey would like to say a huge well done to Fin in year 7 who has, at the time of writing, raised over £8000 for Musgrove Park Hospital. Fin faced 100 overs at Wombat Cricket club. He started at 11.00 am and faced his final delivery at 16.15. Fin has received huge support from the local community but has also had messages of support from cricket stars Sir Ian Botham, Jos Butler, Joe Root, Nasser Hussain, Charlotte Edwards and Andrew Straus along the way. On the day Jack Leach also made an impromptu appearance and kindly signed shirts and even bowled some overs. We are remarkably proud to see the compassion Fin has shown for raising money for such a worthwhile cause. Donations can still be made on the just giving page under Fin's 100 Over Smash.
