• Stanley Races to Success

  Stanley, 6ILH, has had a busy summer break competing at a number of Ultimate Karting Championships (UKC) which attract some of the best drivers in Europe as well as the UK. 

  Stanley raced at the Rowrah Circuit in Cumbria and finished 8th overall.

  He also entered the UKC held at Clay Pigeon Raceway in Dorset and finished 7th overall; 2 fantastic results!

   

  Stanley's third event was the South West Championship – held at Mansell raceway near Honiton.  This race is for the best drivers from the south of the country completing for the coveted SW plate.  The winning driver (or team) can then use the SW plate instead of a number for the next season.  Stanley came first and won the SW Plate - huge congratulations Stanley; what a summer!

   

  

• Cross Country vs Millfield

  Cross Country fixture vs Millfield

   

  13 budding cross country runners from Years 7 and 8 took part in a race against Millfield at their Prep School in Glastonbury.

   

  It was a relief that the recent heatwave had subsided just in time for this race.

   

  Our team included four first time runners; Dawson, Henry P, Jude and Preston.

   

  Our first two runners to complete the 2.4 kilometre course were Henry P and Dawson with Henry sprinting like Noah Lyles (or Usain Bolt if you prefer more dated references) for the final 100 metres.

   

  It was a great effort all round from the team and great support and encouragement given to each other and also by our hosts Millfield.
