Preparing for the next steps (KS4 Options)

For our pupils, the first step along the path toward future employment, is making their choices for KS4 education.  In order to help make informed decisions about this process, we are pleased to welcome visitors from our feeder upper school, The Kings of Wessex Academy in Cheddar, who come to speak with pupils.  Along with their tutors, past pupils and senior leaders from the Kings of Wessex speak to pupils to outline the process of selecting options and highlight what learning at KS4 is like.  Pupils also have an opportunity to attend an Open Evening and transition taster sessions to help finalise their decisions.  Our spring KS3 curriculum parent evening is another opportunity for parents, pupils and teachers to discuss the content and requirements of KS4 course and help pupils make the decision that is best for them, and their ambitions for the future.
