Design Technology

Hello Year 7,

 

This term we will be focusing on further extending your knowledge and skills in DT/ Food and Nutrition. This is through researching, analysing, designing, cooking and evaluating.

 

If you are in Mrs Kemp's class please can you complete the DT tasks.

Teacher help: If you have any questions or difficulties completing a DT task you are welcome to email Mrs Kemp. Once you have completed a task you can email your work or photograph to Mrs Kemp. Thao.Kemp@hughsexey.org.uk

 

If you are in Miss Latti's class please can you complete the Food and Nutrition tasks.

Teacher help: If you have any questions or difficulties completing a Food and Nutrition task you are welcome to email Miss Latti. Once you have completed a task or cooked a recipe you can email your work or photograph to Miss Latti (DT Coordinator). Natalie.Latti@hughsexey.org.uk

 

If you do not have access to a printer tasks can be completed on plain or lined paper.

Miss Latti - Food and Nutrition - Lesson 1: Food Allergies and Food Intolerances - Use the knowledge organiser and internet to complete the worksheets linked to food allergies and food intolerances.
Miss Latti - Food and Nutrition - Lesson 2: Dietary Needs - Adapting a recipe to suit different dietary requirements. E.g. vegetarian, vegan, a person with coeliac disease and a lactose intolerant person. Explain why the ingredient is not suitable and what alternatives would be more suitable.
Miss Latti - Food and Nutrition - Lesson 3: Cook a meal that would be suitable for someone that is a vegetarian, vegan, coeliac or lactose intolerant. Include a recipe and take photos to document each stage of the cooking process.
