YEAR 7 KINGS OF WESSEX ACADEMY TASTER DAYS

 

All current Year 7 pupils will have the opportunity to experience school life at the Kings of Wessex Academy during the Taster days on 9th & 10th July 2024.

APPLYING FOR A PLACE TO JOIN THE KINGS OF WESSEX ACADEMY

 

If you live in Somerset:

You will need to complete the online application form at Apply for a School Admission in Somerset - Somerset Council stating your preferred school. This will remain active until 23:59 on the published closing date, 31st October. All applications after the October 31st closing date are considered late applications, you can view the outcome of your application by logging on to the School Admissions Portal Citizen Portal - Sign in (somerset.gov.uk)

 

If you do not have access to the internet, then you may apply using a paper application form, which can be obtained by contacting Somerset Council School Admissions Direct on 0300 123 2224

 

If you live in North Somerset or counties outside of Somerset:

If you live outside of Somerset and would like to apply for a place at Kings of Wessex, you must apply through your home council, this is the council you pay your council tax through.

The same deadline applies for applications for children moving to an upper school and will close at 11.59pm on 31st October.

TRANSPORT

Pupils who fall within catchment for The Kings of Wessex Academy will be notified of transport arrangements from Somerset County Transport.

Pupils who fall outside of the catchment area will need to make their own transport arrangements as Hugh Sexey Middle School and Kings of Wessex Academy do not provide out of catchment transport for Year 9.
