Humanities links with Industry and Employers - Futures Education

The Humanities Department is so exited now that many of the Covid-19 restrictions are easing.  We have two really exciting opportunites coming up for our pupils to extend their subject knowledge and explore how the Humanities subjects are connected to the world of work and further study:

13th June: Bovington Tank Museum: Meet the education consultant and speak with our guides to find out what its link to work and Tank museum, careers paths, and the importance of the conservation and education work they undertake at the museum

5th July: Commonwealth War Graves Commission: HSMS will host a visit from Simon Bendry (Head of Education and Engaement) who will give a presentation to Y8 pupils, enhancing their work on post-WWI commemoration, on the historic and on-going work of the CWGC.  He will also highlight opportunites for pupils with an interest in the study of World War I & II for further study, including career path opportunites and internships offered by the CWGC
