Cross Country at Brymore

Eight cross country runners from Years 7 and 8 took part in the Sedgemoor Area Cross Country Championships at Brymore Academy in Cannington.

If it was a horse race, the going would definitely be described as "heavy" following the recent downpours from Storm Barra.

Despite the conditions, it was a determined effort by our runners who all ran well and all qualified to be invited to represent Sedgemoor at the Somerset Schools Cross Country Championships in January.

Well done Alice, Ben, Grace and Vin from Year 7 and Elijah, Fynn, Oscar and Zach from Year 8.

Particular mention goes to Grace who was misdirected whilst in the lead which put her back into the middle of the pack and then, with her implacable resolve, still fought back to win the Year 7 Girls race.
