Glen Dickson coaches YR6 Rugby

The year 6 boys and girls had a day to remember on Tuesday 6th December, when former Northampton Saints and Otago rugby player Glenn Dickson payed a visit to Hugh Sexey to take some coaching sessions. Glenn, currently works as the rugby development officer for Weston Super Mare rugby club, and he is very enthusiastic about getting into schools and developing and encouraging local talent. The students were very excited to be working with Glenn, and he reinforced the necessity of developing core rugby skills such as catching, running and passing. It was great to see Glenn working with the students and they all found the experience highly rewarding and enriching. It was also pleasing to hear Glenn speak so highly of our students. We hope to see Glenn at Hugh Sexey again soon, and thank him for his time.
