Under 13s Football vs Crispin

Many congratulations to the under 13s football team who put in a commanding performance on the road against Crispin. Playing on a 4g surface the players quickly got to grips with the wider, bigger pitch. Wing backs Luc and Thelonious were frequently used to stretch the home defenders and the pair combined for the opening goal converted by Luc. Ben had a rapturous first half grabbing 3 goals and driving the team forward from central midfield. He was well supported by Dennis and Sam who kept it very simple and crisp with neat one and two touch play. The goals quickly racked up with Jacob hitting a scorcher from outside the box. With the game slipping away from Crispin Oscar, Jacob and Ben were removed to allow others a chance. George put in a strong showing bravely blocking a shot with his face and having the clarity to then travel with the ball from central defence and provide a telling assist.
The boys should be proud of their performance. None more so than skipper Oscar who put in a towering shift and then sportingly played the final half for the depleted opponents.
