Year 8 Girls' Hockey Tournament.

On Thursday 25th November, Year 8 girls travelled to Whitstone Leisure Centre to compete against Oakfield School, St Dunstan School and Whitstone School in a Hockey competition.

The team played three matches. Hugh Sexey first match was against Oakfield. It was a good match with a first lucky goal by Zara which crept over the line. Some good ball control by Freya and Gracie scored two goals. Player of the match was awarded to Zara. The final score was 3-0 to Hugh Sexey.

Hugh Sexey second match was against St Dunstan School. The girls all played enthusiastically and started to really gel as a team. Another goal scored by Gracie and patient waiting from the Captain, Martha, pushed a goal to the back of the net. A third goal was scored by Gracie. The final score was 3-0 to Hugh Sexey. Player of the match was awarded to Daisy.

Hugh Sexey final match was played against Whitstone School. The team played well. Olivia was finding her confidence and Isla getting out of goal. The other team was strong but Gracie managed to push in one goal. Final score was 1-0 to Hugh Sexey. Olivia was awarded Player of the match.

Hugh Sexey were the overall winners of the competition.
