Thursday 28th November
A beautiful Autumnal day greeted the year six girls in their annual house hockey competition. There is a large cohort of girls in this year group and I felt truly inspired to see so many girls playing good quality hockey. Thank you to Miss Crossland for umpiring and for her support with coaching this year.
The teams divided into two squads per house . All points are collated so every match counted. Saxons got off to a good start as did the Normans scoring four goals in their first match.
Celts and Vikings lost their first matches but it was encouraging to see them fight back and Vikings started to catch up in their later matches.
At the end it was very close.
4th - Celts
3rd - Vikings
In 2nd ( but purely on goal difference ) Saxons
Cup winners 2019 Normans
Well done to all players for a great term's work in Hockey.
