Yr 7 House Football Matches
The Celts emerged victorious in the year 7 house football competition. The weather conditions were perfected for football, and despite the repeated use of the fields the surface was suitable for some passing football. The standard of football was high, although it must be said that the expectations placed on some players was at times a little unrealistic. Digby Oaten performed well in all of the matches as did Ronnie Newton and George Ellis. Tyler Downie put in an inspired performance and George Moss had an afternoon to remember with some excellent goals. The Saxons finished 4th, closely followed by the Vikings and then the Normans in 2nd place. Thanks, as always, to the staff who lent their support. Thanks must also go to the students who helped referee the matches.
