Cross Country at Collett Park

Years 5&6 cross country - Race 2

Our team of enthusiastic cross country runners took part in the second race of the Mendip Junior Schools Cross Country League.  It was an undulating 2 kilometre course at Collett Park in Shepton Mallet in pleasant but near dusk conditions.

As for the first race last month, our top three runners were Poppy S, Libby and Bethany in the Girls race and Noah, Euan and Josh in the Boys race.

Eric ran well in his debut for the team.  There were also strong improvements from the first race for Bella, Adam and Henry.

We now have a break until February before race 3 of 5.  If you are a parent or carer of a budding runner from Year 5 or 6 who isn't currently taking part and would like to, please encourage your child to come along to cross country club on Fridays during lunchtime.
