First Schools Tag Rugby festival 03/10/19

On this very wet day all the local schools came to Hugh Sexey's to compete in the tag rugby festival.
All the youngsters who participated should be very proud for representing their schools; the skills and team plays showcased on the day were fantastic. It was a close competition but Wedmore School turned out to be the winners on the day. Congratulations to Wedmore.

The Year 8 Sports Leaders led the festival and organised some coaching for the schools that didn't have a game. They took these schools off and did some skill zones with the pupils, concentrating on the areas that they needed to improve ready for their next game.  All our sports leaders were superb at this.
A special mention must also go to Max Scantlebury and James O'Brien for refereeing the games - they did an excellent job.

It was a great day of rugby despite the weather. Well done to all involved.

Below are some photos from the day taken by Jasmine Lyons (Year 8 Sports Leader).
