Together we believe; Together we achieve

Great Scott!

Alex is the goal hero as Hugh Sexey over power a physical Millfield side.

The year 8 development side put in a great performance of flowing football against a team who relied on brawn and industry. Joel, making his debut for the School side, was a pillar of strength at the back and did not give an inch to Millfield's onslaught of long balls and direct tactics. When Hugh Sexey had the ball they looked dangerous and tried to play positive football on what was a rather muddy pitch come the end. Oscar showed his experience and helped guide the team around the park. His range of passing was very adept and he found a number of ways of releasing the likes of Henry and Louis, who helped to provide the team with width. Despite a number of shots raining in on the home teams goal, Hugh Sexey managed to keep a clean sheet at the break. A lot of credit must go to Liam who selflessly put the team before himself and ensured all of the players played a big part. On the pitch Liam was a commanding presence. A Jack Russell in the tackle, and composed when in possession of the ball. Often he played the simple ball and allowed the players further up the pitch to show their creativity. As the game wore on gaps emerged in the tired defence and ALex was twice the beneficiary. Once from a rebounded shot and the other from a set play. He put in a star turn and also showed a willingness to run the channels and drop deep for the ball.
