Indoor Team Athletics - Years 7 and 8

 

Fifteen of our sports stars from Years 7 and 8 took part in an indoor team athletics competition at Wells Cathedral School.  Hugh Sexey was competing against Crispin, Oakfield and Selwood.

 

The competition consisted of track events including an obstacle relay, and field events including shot put and standing triple jump.

 

Several of the running races were won by our runners.  Winners included Chloe, Emmie, Olivia, Finley, Harry and Marcus.

 

It was less straightforward for to identify the winners in the field events.  There were various scorers with clipboards.  James standard long jump was amazing; as was Sofia's vertical jump.  The technical prowess of Charlie and Finley's standing triple jumps were also sights to be marvelled at.

 

At the end, our Year 8 Boys team were declared winners of their team competition.  Our other teams were very competitive too.
