Learning about Budhism.

As part of a new unit in Religious Studies, some of our year sevens were introduced to the teachings of Buddhism through the exploration of Buddhist artefacts. We explored the origins of the Buddha, the Buddhist teachings around impermanence, and the importance of meditation to the Buddhist sangha (the Buddhist community). As you can see, the saffron robes and parasol (which are traditionally worn by Buddhist monks in Southeast Asia), were very popular!
