Mendip Junior Cross Country League

The final cross country race of the season took place at Tor Leisure in Glastonbury.

It was a fitting climax to the season where, up to the final race, the destiny of the winning Years 5&6 boys team remained in the balance.

The whole team have done themselves proud throughout the season.  I have mentioned individuals in previous reports but this time I wish to namecheck the entire team of:

Year 5 girls - Emilia, Matilda and Sofia

Year 6 girls - Chloe and Katie

Year 5 boys - Charley, Charlie, Lewis, Liam, Misi, Ollie and Oli

Year 6 boys - Dennis, Finley, Nathan and Tom

There was an end of season award ceremony after the final race.  Finley, having won every race, won the Year 5&6 individual boys trophy.  Nathan, after another strong performance, achieved the third place trophy.  The boys team were then also announced as winners (out of 25 schools).
