Mendip Junior Cross Country League - Race 3

 

Our runners had to contend with a lot of mud and a hilly course at Millfield Senior School in Street for the first race back after the mid-winter break. 

 

Grace, Ruby, Fynn and Jamie continue to excel and Jamie achieved his first top 10 finish of the season.

 

Well done to Frank for a great performance in his first race and also to the other Year 5 boys (Fergus, George, Jamie and Jules) who all improved on their placings from the previous two races.

 

With two races remaining, the boys look set to be one of the top three teams at the end of the season and the girls team are currently in fourth.  Both are very creditable positions with over 20 schools taking part in this league.

 

Mr Jackson is keen to hear from any Year 5 or 6 girls who have performed well in bleep tests and cross country runs in recent PE lessons and would like to represent Hugh Sexey in the two remaining races in March.  The boys team has already reached it's limit of 10 runners.
