Mendip Junior School Cross Country League - Race 1

Year 5&6 cross country - Race 1

Nine runners represented Hugh Sexey in the first race of the Mendip Junior Schools Cross Country League 2022/23.  It was held at Millfield Prep School on a pleasantly mild day and included two circuits of their woodland and orchard.  

A fantastic effort all round from our runners.  Bethany was our highest placed finishing in 8^th.  Five of our boys (Henry, Charlie, Euan, William and Stanley) finished between 18^th and 32^nd exhibiting a strength in depth relative to the 111 runners who took part in the Years 5&6 boys race.

If you are a parent of a child in Year 5 or 6 who would like to take part in the remaining four races of the season, please encourage your child to come to cross country club on Friday lunchtimes.  Just two of our nine runners were girls and so we are particularly looking to include more girls in the team.
