Mendip Netball Competition - Year 8
Netball report
Year eight annual Mendip netball competition at Fairlands
The team comprised of ten girls who have been selected to play for the cup team after club and match performance.
The weather was against us and conditions were cold and wet. Despite this, the girls played extremely good netball.
Captained by a very dedicated goal attack, Freya, the girls played Selwood in their first match. It was close and final score was 1-1.

The team played five other teams and in all matches except our last against Oakfield school , the score was very close. Alex T was strong in defence and both Olivia F and Olivia G were very agile in the centre position. As the tournament drew to its end, the girls played a very strong team from Oakfield who won 5-1 .
The girls came fourth overall after point tallies. Selwood came third as the number of goals scored was higher. The two schools to go through were Wells Blue and Oakfield.
