Podium Place in Sedgemoor Schools Biathlon Championship

Sedgemoor Schools Biathlon Championship:

 

On Sunday 1st March, 15 Hugh Sexey students participated in the Sedgemoor Schools Biathlon Championship at Burnham Swim and Sports Academy.

Year 5 and 6 completed a 500m run and a 50m swim, Year 7 and 8 completed a 1000m run and 100m swim.

Each athlete scored points for completing the run and swim.  The points were then combined to give an overall score for the individual competition, and then added to a whole team score to determine the Sedgemoor School Champion.

All the students supported and encouraged each other though out the whole event.

Hugh Sexey had a podium finish in each year group and secured 2nd in the Sedgemoor Schools Championship.
