Survival was the name of the game during a fun and exciting Activities Week at Hugh Sexey Middle School!
Last week, one -hundred and fifty year 5 pupils were able to try a range of activities inspired by Michael Morpurgo's book, Kensuke's Kingdom and the real-life survival story of Antarctic explorer, Ernest Shackleton.
The children were able to try their hand at raft building, archery, first-aid, making energy bars, forest school and even navigating an inflatable assault course!
On Friday, parents and carers were invited to the school to watch presentations written and performed by the children about their inspiring week. Later, the children had the opportunity to share their written diaries, forest crowns and a marshmallow or two toasted over the open fire at Forest School.
