U13 Boys Football (Somerset Cup vs Bucklers Mead - AWAY)

The boys started the campaign for the Somerset Cup away to Bucklers Mead School.

We were looking forward to playing on their 4G Astro Turf. Hugh Sexey's started the game very strongly playing a passing football game which led to goals being scored early on. At half time Hugh Sexey's were 6-0 up. We made some changes and introduced George, Henry and Oliver in the game.

Striker duo Jacob and Kenny were on fire in front of the goal throughout the whole game, putting their keeper under immense pressure.

The midfield five - Thelonious, Luc, Sam, Louis, and Ben - all worked very hard throughout the whole game, running from box to box and producing some great football. Their passing and distribution of the ball was some of the best I have seen. The back 3 - Oscar, Henry, and Harvey - were solid and protected our goalkeeper Will superbly.

The game ended 11-2. This was a fantastic team effort; the boys' attitude and effort was outstanding.

We look forward to seeing them in action against Beechen Cliff in the next round.
