UKMT Maths Challenge

This year pupils from Hugh Sexey Middle School have again achieved amazing results in the UKMT maths challenge. Over 260,000 pupils from across the UK sat the Junior Maths Challenge with the top 6% receiving Gold awards, the next 13% Silver and the next 21% Bronze. In addition, the top 8200 pupils were invited to participate in the Junior Mathematical Olympiad or Kangaroo.

This year 40 Hugh Sexey pupils took part in the challenge and were awarded in total:

11 Gold,  16 Silver and 11 Bronze certificates.

5 pupils were also invited to take part in the Junior Kangaroo of which 2 gained scores in the top 2000 pupils and were awarded certificates of merit.
