Yesterday, year 7 pupils had a visit from a Buddhist nun as part of their religious studies unit about the beliefs and practices of Buddhism. Lamchen has been a Buddhist nun for 20 years now and supports herself by working as a carer when she isn't teaching classes at the Bristol Buddhist Centre. Pupils had an opportunity to ask questions and find out more about what it is like to live as a Buddhist in Bristol today.
