Year 3/4 Cross Country Festival at HSMS

Yesterday we held our annual Cross Country Festival where our feeder schools come to compete against each other at Cross Country. 

The Year 3's did 1 lap around the school field (approximately 1 KM) and the Year 4's did 2 laps (approximately 2KM)

The five schools competing were Axbridge, Lympsham, Mark, Weare, and Wedmore; all those who participated did their schools proud, and everyone did really well to complete the course.

Congratulations to Wedmore for just piping Axbridge and winning the team event. Well done!

Our year 8 sports leaders ran the event and were absolutely brilliant: they led the warm- ups, ran with the children around the field, acted as marshals telling them where to go, and most of all they were very encouraging and kept the younger children going.  Well done guys.

Also a massive thank you to Mr Jackson and Mr Lamb for helping with the results/data.
