Year Eight Boys Hockey v Castle School

Wednesday 7th December 

This was a great match,rather late in the season due to wet weather cancellation. 

A small group of year eight boys have been working on their hockey skills throughout the term . Led by a very talented captain, Charlie Jackson, the boys enjoyed a highly competitive match. 

The first half was goal less, thanks to some brilliant goalkeeping by Owen Toleman. Owen has naturally taken to this position. Louis Bougourd, who was only able to play in the first half,  displayed great tenacity and fitness. 

Castle scored two goals in the second half quite early on. Archie Joskey- Martin played with fierce determination which earned him the Captain’s player of the match. It was great to see the boys unite as a team to be rewarded with a blinding goal by Charlie. 

The final score was 2-1 to Castle School.

A special mention to Charlie Jackon who has given freely of his time to both this team and in the coaching of year five and six girls. Thank you.
