Yr 7 Hockey - Mendip Tournament.

On a very cold November evening , the year sevens travelled to Wells Blue to represent the school at the Somerset games qualifying tournament . There were five schools present: 

Selwood Frome 

Oakfield Frome 

Fairlands 

Wells Blue 

Hugh Sexey

 The team got off to a fine start beating Oakfield school 6-0. A relentless attack which was most encouraging. The second match versus Wells Blue was very equal and both schools played hard to finish with a well deserved 0-0 draw. The third match was against Fairlands and again both teams displayed good skills. Jemima scored a goal which was a blistering hit into the net. Fairlands soon equalised and it looked like it was going to be another draw. In the final moments  we scored another goal for a 2-1 victory. The fourth and final match against Selwood was close with a strong  defence from the opposition. Again in the final moments High Sexey scored to win 1-0.
