Public Health England have produced a letter for schools to distribute to parents which explains when a person requires a coronavirus test and what the symptoms of coronavirus are.
The intention of the letter is to help prevent children being taken out of school unnecessarily and answer some of the questions parents may have around testing.
Despite the season being curtailed, final league placings were announced and medals have been distributed for the top three teams and individuals.
With about 25 schools taking part, the teams from Hugh Sexey made a strong showing. The Year 5&6 boys team came third and the Year 5&6 girls team came fourth.
The bronze medal winning boys team included Fynn, Oscar and Zach (now Year 7) and Ewart, Fergus, George, Jamie and Jules (now Year 6).
The girls team deserve similar recognition having only just been pipped to bronze but with a smaller team. They included Ruby (now Year 7) and Alice, Grace and Iris (now Year 6).
In a normal season, the top 20 individuals would go on to represent Mendip in inter-area cross country events. These would have included Fynn (6th), Jamie (11th), Ruby (9th) and Grace (14th).
With such a fantastic group of runners, it is a shame (but understandable) that the cross country events remain unlikely for the time being.
